St. Patty's Day is just around the corner. Do you have your shamrock? I decided to make a new version of a shamrock consisting of a little metal work. I hand cut the petals and did a little soldering to create the shamrock. I then did some hammering to give it texture and shape. I gave the shamrock an oxidized patina and then polished it to a high luster. I then gave it a protective coating of clear jewelry lacquer to preserve the patina. The pendant is 1 3/4 inches wide x 2 1/4 inches long.
I created a bail and added this to a piece of copper viking knit. I used a 2 mm leather cord in a natural dark brown. The overall length of this necklace is 17 inches.
