Sun & Moon Etched Pendant with Gemstones and Leather Necklace

A celestial pendant with a moon and sun representing a sense of wisdom and passage of time along with strength and energy. I have hand cut two disks from copper sheet metal. The first layer is a 1 1/4 inch diameter disk that I have textured and the second is a 1 inch disk on which I have drawn the moon and sun and then placed in an acid bath to etch the design into the metal. Each piece has been oxidized and given a clear coat of jewelry lacquer. I have embellished the pendant with a small chain of glass crystals and silver stars.

To finish the necklace I have used two strands of 1mm black leather cord and faceted 8mm mixed gemstone beads. I have added snake knots and copper tube beads to bring this necklace to a Boho look. The overall length is 20 inches.
