A mermaid hidden in a patch of flowers adorns this heart. I have hand cut the heart from copper sheet metal, added the mermaid design and then placed it in an acid bath to permanently etch the design into the heart. The heart has an oxidized patina and a clear coat of jewelry lacquer to protect the finish.
I have added the heart to a strand of 10mm Terra Agate beads which are of a pale blue green marbled with hints of tan and brown. I have added a tiny bit of Amethyst to this strand. I then created two copper spacers and added 3/8 inch natural brown Deerskin leather lace and with a hook closure on the front side of the necklace.
The heart is 2 in x 2 in and the necklace is 28 inches long.
