The word "mandala" means "circle". Mandalas are from the Indian and Himalayan religious traditions used as artistic ways of representing the spiritual universe.
I have hand cut this pendant from copper sheet metal. I then stamped a Mandala onto the copper and acid etched the design into the copper. I have given the pendant an oxidized patina. I then give the copper a clear coat of jewelry lacquer to protect the finish.
I added this pendant to a strand of pearls and copper beads, the largest pearl ranging from 14mm down to 6mm in size. I then created copper connectors and added soft leather deerskin lace in a dark brown and finished the ends with copper beads and knots. This necklace can be tied to adjust to any length.
* please note that all beads are strung on Beadalon wire and that I use this product for the added strength it provides.
