I have hand cut a circle from copper sheet metal and used this as my pendant, I added a hand drawn primitive sun to the metal and then placed in acid to etch the design. I then hammered the pendant into a concave shape, oxidized it and also added a clear coat of jewelry lacquer. I have accented the pendant with Matte DZI Agate Brown Line 12mm beads which have been strung onto 1.5mm black leather cord.
"Dzi" Agate is made to resemble beads first found in India between 1000 and 2000 BCE. Authentic Dzi beads were used in ancient times in India, Tibet and other Asian countries and those that exist today have been passed down for generations. Original stones were often used as protective amulets.
